Перед уходом в отставку Николай Смирнов подписал приказ о размещении скандального полигона ТКО в Сысертском районе

27 декабря министр внёс в региональную программу в сфере обращения с ТКО на 2019–2030 годы изменения, согласно которым планируемый полигон «Екатеринбург-Юг» разместится в кадастровом квартале 66:25:4306002 на юге Сысертского района. В предыдущей версии программы (иллюстрация №1) конкретный участок для полигона не прописывался, власти также публично заявляли, что ещё идёт выбор между несколькими вариантами. Опубликован приказ был только сегодня.

Ранее законность региональной схемы ТКО успешно оспаривал в судах житель села Никольское Сысертского района Дмитрий Кузнецов — из-за его исков министерство было вынуждено исключать из таблицы некоторые строки.

В обновлённой версии программы (её фрагмент — иллюстрация №2) скорректировали мощность мусороперерабатывающего комплекса и сроки его введения. Он должен стать крупнейшим мусорным полигоном в Свердловской области, способным принять 660 тысяч тонн в год, и начать работать в 2029 году.
