Всего по России в апреле зафиксировано 167 случаев бешенства. Наибольшее количество случаев выявлено в Тюменской, Саратовской, Пензенской, Нижегородской, Самарской, Челябинской, Ивановской, Волгоградской, Смоленской, Астраханской областях, Красноярском крае, а также в Республиках Хакасия и Алтай.
Бешенство чаще всего фиксировалось у лис (49 случаев), собак (39) и кошек (31). Также болезнь поражала крупный рогатый скот, енотовидных собак, лошадей, волков, хорьков и куниц.
