Его обвиняли сразу по трем политическим статьям: ч.1 ст.361-1 (Создание либо руководство экстремистским формированием), ч.1 ст.361-4 (Содействие экстремистской деятельности), ч.1 ст.342 (Действия, грубо нарушающие общественный порядок).
По данным правозащитников, судья Куровский присудил Максимчуку 6 лет колонии и огромное денежное взыскание.
