По прогнозам рейтингового агентства «Эксперт РА», в России в будущем году будет наблюдаться продолжающееся сокращение числа банков, и к концу 2024 года их количество упадет ниже 300. Согласно данным Центробанка России на 1 января, в стране насчитывается 314 действующих банков (включая 218 с универсальной лицензией и 96 с базовой) и 39 небанковских кредитных учреждений. Эксперты ожидают, что эта тенденция сохранится благодаря уже стартовавшим сделкам по слиянию и поглощению, а также закрытию банков, которые не соответствуют требованиям регулятора...

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) had carried out a similar exercise in 2017 in a matter related to circulation of messages through WhatsApp. These entities are reportedly operating nine Telegram channels with more than five million subscribers to whom they were making recommendations on selected listed scrips. Such recommendations induced the investors to deal in the said scrips, thereby creating artificial volume and price rise. "Someone posing as a Ukrainian citizen just joins the chat and starts spreading misinformation, or gathers data, like the location of shelters," Tsekhanovska said, noting how false messages have urged Ukrainians to turn off their phones at a specific time of night, citing cybersafety. Perpetrators of these scams will create a public group on Telegram to promote these investment packages that are usually accompanied by fake testimonies and sometimes advertised as being Shariah-compliant. Interested investors will be asked to directly message the representatives to begin investing in the various investment packages offered. The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. On Thursday, news emerged that talks in Turkey between the Russia and Ukraine yielded no positive result. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides.
