Огонь пришлось тушить 44 специалистам на 13 единицах техники. Он нанес ущерб лесному фонду своими действиями, за что заплатит штраф, а также, понесет ответственность за привлечение специалистов к тушению пожара. Итоговая сумма штрафа составила 313 тысяч рублей. Что касается незаконной рубки, то за это он получил условный срок.
