В десятках иностранных государств проживает несколько тысяч наших ветеранов, жителей блокадного Ленинграда, узников гетто и фашистских концлагерей, тружеников тыла и других участников Великой Отечественной войны, внесших неоценимый вклад в Победу.

🎖️Особой честью для сотрудников российских дипломатических представительств и консульских учреждений является реализация Указа Президента Российской Федерации от 02.09.2024 г. №743 «О юбилейной медали «80 лет Победы в Великой Отечественной войне 1941-1945 гг.».

Торжественные церемонии по вручению этой медали, прошедшие в атмосфере заботы о ветеранах и преклонения перед их бессмертным подвигом, уже состоялись в 🇩🇪Германии, 🇮🇱Израиле, 🇨🇳Китае, 🇱🇻Латвии, 🇲🇩Молдавии, 🇲🇳Монголии, 🇳🇿Новой Зеландии, 🇸🇪Швеции, 🇪🇪Эстонии, Южной Осетии и других странах.

Мы помним о наших героях, в каких бы уголках планеты они ни находились, продолжим оказывать им всю необходимую поддержку и будем бережно хранить память о проявленных ими стойкости и воле к Победе!

Since its launch in 2013, Telegram has grown from a simple messaging app to a broadcast network. Its user base isn’t as vast as WhatsApp’s, and its broadcast platform is a fraction the size of Twitter, but it’s nonetheless showing its use. While Telegram has been embroiled in controversy for much of its life, it has become a vital source of communication during the invasion of Ukraine. But, if all of this is new to you, let us explain, dear friends, what on Earth a Telegram is meant to be, and why you should, or should not, need to care. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. "The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into." Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. But Kliuchnikov, the Ukranian now in France, said he will use Signal or WhatsApp for sensitive conversations, but questions around privacy on Telegram do not give him pause when it comes to sharing information about the war.
