Теперь на входе в сквер, который также носит имя Героя, есть железобетонная стена с бронзовым барельефом Сергея Тюленина и шести его товарищей: пятью Героями Советского Союза (Ульяна Громова, Любовь Шевцова, Иван Земнухов, Олег Кошевой, Иван Туркенич) и одним Героем России (Виктор Третьякевич). Монумент создал творческий коллектив под руководством ростовского скульптора-художника Дениса Касицкого.
