Второй крупнейший немецкий перевозчик пересядет с A320 на Boeing 737MAX
Немецкая группа Lufthansa Group передаст 40 заказанных ею новых самолетов Boeing 737MAX-8 бюджетному подразделению Eurowings для замены существующего парка Airbus A319 и стареющих A320. Каталожная цена этих самолетов 5 млрд долл.
Эти 737MAX являются частью неожиданного заказа Lufthansa Group, размещенного в декабре 2023 года, который также включает опцион еще на 60 MAX. Eurowings начнет принимать новые узкофюзеляжные самолеты с конца 2027 года.
Eurowings — подразделение Lufthansa Group, выполняющее прямые точечные региональные рейсы внутри Европы.
«Боинги» призваны заменить 30 меньших по размеру A319 и десяток возрастных A320. Вместимость 737MAX-8 на 39 кресел больше, чем у А319. «Дальность MAX также дает нам увеличение продолжительности полета на 1 час по сравнению с А320ceo", — отметил президент лоукост-компании Йенс Бишоф.
Всего парк Eurowings состоит из 100 узкофюзеляжных самолетов Airbus, а значит, с поступлением нового типа оператору придется какое-то время эксплуатировать смешанный парк Airbus и Boeing.
На 737 также летают конкуренты Eurowings — Ryanair и Tuifly.
