Он был одним из идеологов и организаторов Универсиады в Казани и сейчас занимается подготовкой первых Юношеских исламских игр в Казани в 2025 году.
Духовный лидер мусульман России еще два года назад поддержал проведение соревнований в столице Татарстана. На прошедшей встрече муфтий Гайнутдин также заявил о готовности помочь в организации игр.
Юношеские исламские игры — международные мультиспортивные соревнования, в которых примут участие спортсмены 14-16 лет из стран Организации исламского сотрудничества. В программе планируется 21 вид спорта
