Wachsreste in einer Blechdose oder einen anderen feuerfesten Gefäß geben. Das Wachs langsam im Wasserbad auf dem Herd schmelzen. Dafür muss das Wasser nur köcheln.
Die 2 Gummibänder um das Gefäß machen und so lange verschieben, bis sie schön mittig sind. Den Spatel steckst Du nach dem Ölbad dazwischen, so dass die Gummibänder ihn halten.
Das im Wasserbad geschmolzene Wachs vorsichtig und langsam in das Gefäß gießen.
Wenn das Wachs fest ist, den Holzdocht mit einem Seitenschneider auf ca. 1 cm über dem Wachs einkürzen.
