Адвокат заявил, что жертва могла бы просто укусить насильника за половой орган, что показало бы её несогласие, но та не стала сопротивляться, поэтому половой акт был добровольным и вообще она «не получила непоправимых повреждений».
Судья согласился и оправдал насильника, после чего тот подошёл к матери жертвы и демонстративно швырнул в неё 100 долларов, а потом спокойно ушёл.
