Чемпион России 1995 года Михаил Кавелашвили стал кандидатом на президентских выборах в Грузии

Гроза атак «Спартака-Алании» в 1995 году Михаил Кавелашвили выдвинут правящей партией «Грузинская мечта» в президенты Грузии.

Кавелашвили входит в число сподвижников «Мечты», которые выделились в партию «Сила народа» и выделялись резкой критикой политики Запада. Экс-футболист был 18-м номером в партийном списке «Мечты» на парламентских выборах 26 октября.

Михаил Кавелашвили выступал за «Спартак-Аланию» в чемпионском сезоне, забил 12 голов. По его окончании перешел в «Манчестер Сити». В 2004 году в возрасте 33 лет во второй раз перешел в «Аланию».
