А у меня активная неделя продолжается. Вчера отдохнул денёк, теперь едем дальше.
Я лечу в главный офис Meta в Menlo Park, California. Мы с командой будем отмечать успешный релиз Movie Gen и обсуждать дальнейшие планы. Как всегда я забил встречи с важными людьми. Пока есть шанс встретиться лично, нужно пользоваться – это гораздо более эффективно чем говорить по видео.
Тренировать новые модели и фигачить код важно и полезно, но не менее важно для карьеры быть на виду и регулярно напоминать топам о себе.
Ну, а кроме всего этого я ещё недельку понаслаждаюсь теплом и солнцем в Калифорнии, а то в Швейцарии уже во всю бушует осень.
Ещё возможно соберём митап в Бэй Эриа в конце недели (пост с апрельской тусовки). Так что если вы тут, вступайте в чатик, но не забудьте представиться как зайдёте.

The headline CPI — soaring 7.9% over last year — underscored the sticky inflationary pressures reverberating across the U.S. economy, with everything from groceries to rents and airline fares getting more expensive for everyday consumers. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. Messages are not fully encrypted by default. That means the company could, in theory, access the content of the messages, or be forced to hand over the data at the request of a government. Lastly, the web previews of t.me links have been given a new look, adding chat backgrounds and design elements from the fully-features Telegram Web client.
