Батюшка является живым классиком церковной прозы. Автор ряда книг и бесчисленного множества публикаций.

Раньше, в студенческие годы читал рассказы отца Александра. Тогда я и подумать не мог, что мы подружимся с батюшкой и я буду к нему ездить в гости в Ровеньки Луганской Народной Республики.

Рассказы отца Александра всегда очень уютные. В них есть что-то лесковско-шмелевское.
