В фойе Королевской оперы установили рождественскую елку, спроектированную дизайнером Хьюго Далтоном.

Тридцать пять балетных пачек, составивших композицию, были взяты из архива театра. После праздника они вернутся в хранилище, чтобы вновь послужить в следующем новогоднем сезоне.

Пачки на елке закреплены обратной стороной, видна их структура с каскадом слоев сетки, наложенных друг на друга. Каждая пачка индивидуальна: в каких-то танцевали очень мало, в других выходили на сцену множество раз. Внутри металлического каркаса елки установлена подсветка, цветные лучи которой преломляются через ткань и придают всей конструкции эффект воздушности и сказочности.
