Это событие стало отправной точкой для космонавтики, её дальнейшего развития и в целом оказало огромное влияние на все сферы науки и жизни. Запуску предшествовала титаническая работа советских ракетных конструкторов. Над созданием искусственного спутника Земли совместно с основоположником практической космонавтики Сергеем Королёвым работали выдающиеся исследователи того времени, в их числе и президент АН СССР академик Мстислав Келдыш.

Though all three indexes opened in the green, stocks took a turn after a new report showed U.S. consumer sentiment deteriorated more than expected in early March as consumers' inflation expectations soared to the highest since 1981. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands.
