غالب فرماندهان نظامی ما، جز سپهبد حاجیعلی رزم‌آرا رئیس ستاد ارتش، با آغاز اقدامات نظامی برای بازپس‌گرفتن آذربایجان و کردستان موافق نبودند و از مداخله قوای شوروی در ایران بیم داشتند.
با این وصف من تصمیم به مقابله با حوادث و اقدام قاطع برای نجات آذربایجان گرفتم.
گرچه بسیاری از سیاستمداران و فرماندهان نظامی با این اقدام موافق نبودند، اما ما اطلاع داشتیم که تدارکات نظامی شورشیان هنوز به حد کمال نرسیده و از جمله افرادی که برای کسب تعلیمات در زمینه قوای زرهی و نیروی هوایی به روسیه اعزام داشته‌اند یکسال بعد بازخواهند گشت.
من شخصاً ترجیح می‌دادم که شرافتمندانه در نبرد به خاطر استقلال و تمامیت و آزادی کشورم جان‌بسپارم، تا اینکه پادشاه کشوری سرافکنده باشم.

Stocks dropped on Friday afternoon, as gains made earlier in the day on hopes for diplomatic progress between Russia and Ukraine turned to losses. Technology stocks were hit particularly hard by higher bond yields. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender.
