По данным прокуратуры, школьница осталась одна на хозяйстве, пока ее родители были в Красноярске. Вечером 23 ноября она пошла покормить свиней и больше из свинарника уже не выходила. Ее труп с «множественными следами укусов животных в области головы и различных частей тела» позже нашел приятель.

Возбуждено уголовное дело по статье «Причинение смерти по неосторожности».
