Есть у меня товарищ, который ну ооочень уважает Генри Киссинджера! Даже два товарища. А я вот, грешным делом, никогда его не читал (а значит, и не почитал). Стыдно, но не читал… Все откладывал. И вот наконец - решился!
Начал с работы «Мировой порядок». 500 страниц. Читается легко. Докладываю:
Пока читал - офигел (ну, вы поняли) трижды!
Сначала - от банальности и плоскости анализа международных отношений применительно к Европе и Азии.
Затем - от лицемерия и подобострастия в анализе всего, что связано с американской политикой.
И в конце - от глубины и остроты анализа новых вызовов дипломатии, т е той ж..пы, в которую дипломатия попала в эпоху Интернета.
В общем, старик очень непрост. 90% его творчества - обычный маркетинг и дешевая пропаганда (консалтинговый бизнес с большими заказчиками - он такой, да!). Но 10% - это жемчужина!
Как бы еще научиться читать только эти 10%, не тратя время на оставшуюся чушь:(

The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. Groups are also not fully encrypted, end-to-end. This includes private groups. Private groups cannot be seen by other Telegram users, but Telegram itself can see the groups and all of the communications that you have in them. All of the same risks and warnings about channels can be applied to groups. At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. Channels are not fully encrypted, end-to-end. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee.
