فروغ فرخزاد، شاعری جسور و پیشگام، با شکستن مرزهای سنت، صدای زنانگی را به شعر فارسی آورد. او، زاده‌ی ۸ دی ۱۳۱۳، از خانواده‌ای سخت‌گیر تا جایگاه شاعری و مستندسازی پیش رفت. آثار برجسته‌اش تولدی دیگر و ایمان بیاوریم به آغاز فصل سرد، شعر را به دریچه‌ای برای زیستن آگاهانه بدل کردند.
او با سفر به اروپا، همکاری با ابراهیم گلستان و ساخت مستند خانه سیاه است، هنر خود را گسترش داد. اما در ۲۴ بهمن ۱۳۴۵، زندگی‌اش در تصادفی ناگهانی پایان یافت.
