بر اساس این گزارش، پنج استان مهم کشور شامل تهران، اصفهان، مرکزی، هرمزگان و خراسان رضوی با تنش آبی مواجه شده‌اند.
در همین راستا، وزارت نیرو برای تأمین آب شرب و بهداشت مردم، برنامه‌ریزی‌هایی انجام داده و با اجرای پروژه‌های جدید و تأمین اعتبارات مالی، در تلاش است تابستان ۱۴۰۴ را بدون مشکل پشت سر بگذارد.
