Отмечается, что транспорт приобретут по программе льготного лизинга. По словам вице-губернатора Артема Бранова, в настоящее время ведется запрос коммерческих предложений, определение поставщиков, а также подготовка к проведению конкурсных процедур. Также Бранов уточнил, что вопрос по льготному лизингу на приобретение автобусов уже решен.
Основную часть работы по подготовке планируют завершить до конца февраля текущего года. Само обновление рязанского автобусного парка ожидается мае-июне 2023 года.
