Then They Came for the Palestinians: How to Respond to the Kidnapping of Mahmoud Khalil

https://crimethinc.com/MahmoudKhalil

We explore the strategy of the Trump administration in targeting a Palestinian activist and what is at stake in our response. For perspective, we present the experiences of anarchists whose comrade was similarly kidnapped for participating in the Occupy ICE movement in San Antonio, Texas in 2018.
🇵🇸✊🏽FREE MAHMOUD KHALIL NOW! Protesting is not a crime!

Mahmoud, a Palestinian student activist and recent Columbia graduate, was abducted from his home by DHS agents this weekend and is now in ICE detention, despite being a legal resident of the U.S.

In doing so, Donald Trump is seeking to criminalize the movement for a free Palestine and instill fear in the millions of people who have taken to the streets and had their consciousness awakened over the last 17+ months of U.S.-funded genocide.

But we refuse to be immobilized by fear! All people who believe in free speech need to take a stand against this opening attack in Trump’s war on dissent. We will continue to fight until Mahmoud is released and Palestine is free!
