Far-right parties get more votes in the Netherlands, Austria, and Germany. But the center-right European People’s Party (EPP) is still the biggest in the European Parliament. Ursula von der Leyen is the leader of this party. She wants another term. She promised to stop extreme ideas in Europe. But she may need to work with the far-right parties. The EPP includes Germany’s Christian Democrats and Spain’s People’s Party. But voters are moving away from Green parties and towards the far-right Identity and Democracy Group. This group includes more extreme parties. Some of these parties do not like the EU.

In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” Despite Telegram's origins, its approach to users' security has privacy advocates worried. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a driving force in markets for the past few weeks. You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp.
