Жители Баймакского района республики на сходе единограсно проголосовали за обращение в Курултай республики с требованием сохранить территорию хребта Ирандык. Участники выступили против проведения любых работ рядом с их селами, сообщило издание RusNews. Собравшиеся освистали вице-премьера Башкортостана Азамата Абдрахманова.

С апреля в Баймакском районе начались регулярные сходы по поводу планов золотодобывающих компаний провести геологическую разведку. В начале мая на одном из них местные жители переизбрали главу села Ишмурзино. Его возглавила активистка Рашида Файзуллина.
