В Южной Осетии отмечают День мужества и единства народа

Новейшую историю Южной Осетии принято отсчитывать именно с этого дня: 23 ноября 1989 года, когда Цхинвальские ребята встали на пути многотысячной толпы грузинских неформалов, выдвинувшихся на автобусах и легковых автомобилях из Тбилиси в Цхинвал на так называемый "мирный митинг" в святой для православных день.

Три десятка молодых парней, безоружных, но непоколебимых в своем стремлении спасти родной город, остановили у подножия старинного храма Святому Георгию в Згъудер над Цхинвалом продвижение колонны, в которой, по разным оценкам, насчитывалось около 50 тысяч человек.

Так новейшая история Южной Осетии началась 35 лет назад с подвига.

Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. The channel appears to be part of the broader information war that has developed following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin has paid Russian TikTok influencers to push propaganda, according to a Vice News investigation, while ProPublica found that fake Russian fact check videos had been viewed over a million times on Telegram.
