Условие? "Коли не краток, так и не талантлив"? Или признак – "если краток, то, вероятно, талантлив"?
С тех пор, как в нашем быту появился интернет, а в интернете – выражение "многабукв", чеховский афоризм всё чаще стали употреблять в значении побуждения к краткости: "Мне не особо интересно то, о чём вы толкуете, поэтому не соблаговолили бы вы (валили бы вы) изъяснятся короче?"
