В готовности к вылету из сел Мильково и Оссоры были два вертолета Ми-8 Камчатского авиапредприятия со спасателями Камчатской региональной поисково-спасательной базы, но в связи с плохими погодными условиями оба воздушных судна не применялись.
22 декабря, с наступлением светлого времени суток, поиски будут возобновлены.
