На данный момент изготовлен макет будущей скульптуры. Им занимаются мастера из Казани.
Однако прежде, чем памятник начнут создавать, его внешний был согласован с Казанской епархией и Владыкой Марийским и Йошкар-Олинским Иоанном. После согласования с Владыкой Иоанном макет был возвращен в Казань на доработку.
