قرأت للعلامة أنور شاه الكشميري ت١٩٣٣م رحمه الله كلمة عجيبة، يذكر فيها أن كثيرا من مسائل علم المعاني التي لم يتعرَّض لها علماء الفن يمكن أن تُستنبَط من " الكشاف " للزمخشري، مع أنها مسائل لم يشمَّ لها رائحة في شيء من كتب الفن، بل ذكر أن هذا المسائل يمكن أن تبلغ نصف ما هو موجود في كتب القوم.
ومنذ قرأتُ هذه الكلمة وأنا أتعجّب، وبغضِّ النظر عن إمكان ذلك أو استحالته فإنَّ مما جنى على العقول وأوقَف مِداد الأقلام أن يقال إن العلم الفلاني نضج واحترق، وما زال المُخلِص للعلم الصادق في طلبه يُخبّئ الله له بين السطور من أصناف الفهوم وأنواع المسائل ما يليق بإخلاصه وطلبه.
