Депутаты Кандалакшского района будут ходатайствовать о присвоении Алакуртти звания “Населённый пункт воинской доблести”.
Об этом глава района Александр Самарин сообщил на своей странице ВК. И это очень правильное дело, полностью поддерживаем идею. Алакуртти как-то несправедливо забыли при раздаче наград. А ведь бои там шли не слабые. Через Алакуртти враг пытался выйти к Кандалакше и перерезать железнодорожное сообщение с Мурманском. Село советским войскам пришлось оставить. Однако до Кандалакши гитлеровцы так и не дошли. Были остановлены в нескольких десятках километров от села на рубеже “Верман”.
Так что да, Алакуртти, несомненно, заслуживает звание “Населённого пункта воинской доблести”.

The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. In a message on his Telegram channel recently recounting the episode, Durov wrote: "I lost my company and my home, but would do it again – without hesitation." Pavel Durov, Telegram's CEO, is known as "the Russian Mark Zuckerberg," for co-founding VKontakte, which is Russian for "in touch," a Facebook imitator that became the country's most popular social networking site. "Like the bombing of the maternity ward in Mariupol," he said, "Even before it hits the news, you see the videos on the Telegram channels."
