Матчевая встреча между ветеранскими командами прошла на ледовой арене «Победа». Обе команды продемонстрировали открытый атакующий хоккей. Ведя по ходу первого тайма 4:2, «Надежда» не удержала преимущество, и на перерыв команды ушли при счете 6:5 в пользу «нефтяников». Второй тайм остался за хозяевами. Финальная сирена зафиксировала боевую ничью 9:9.
