После 5 раундов жëстких ударов схватка завершилась вничью, по решению большинства судей, несмотря на то, что Вирнес дважды нарушал правила и пытался закрыться от оплеухи плечом.
В итоге американец всë-таки сохранил чемпионский пояс, а Василий заявил, что "хуйня это все" (с) и он что готов к реваншу.
