2⃣ آرامگاه سامانیان که در سالهای ۲۷۱ تا ۳۲۲ خورشیدی (بین ۸۹۲ تا ۹۴۳ م) ساخته شده، قدیمی‌ترین آرامگاه (برجا مانده) در آسیای میانه، قدیمی‌ترین آرامگاه (برجا مانده) گنبددار، قدیمی‌ترین آرامگاه تاریخ‌دار ایرانی، تنها بنای برجا مانده از زمان سامانیان، اولین تاق جناغی (برجا مانده) و یکی از قدیمی‌ترین بناهای باقی ماندۀ «تمام ساخته شده با آجرهای پخته» است.
اولین گوشه‌سازی سه‌کنج در معماری ایران هم در این بنا دیده می‌شود.
