События 20-минутного мультфильма развернутся в постапокалиптическом мире, где автоматические механизмы продолжают работать при почти полном исчезновении людей. Девочка, потерявшая память, исследует обломки цивилизации, где сначала встречает добродушного робота (тоже с амнезией!), а затем слегка одичавшего юношу. Тот ищет Кристалл времени, чтобы восстановить забытое прошлое. Троица не подозревает, но истина уже где-то рядом.
«Девочка встретила мальчика и робота» входит в китайский альманах TAISU, над которым работают четыре режиссера — из Японии, США и, собственно, Китая. Его покажут 23 июля на фестивале в Монреале.
Ватанабэ, известный по культовым сериалам «Ковбой Бибоп», «Самурай Чамплу», «Эхо террора» и многим другим вновь поработал с Коити Ямадэрой (голос Спайка Шпигеля) и Мисаки Куно (Джи Джи Кей из его «Кэрол и Тьюсдей»), а также с Юмой Утидой (Мэгуми из «Магической битвы»).

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel.
