В отрасли заняты 12,5 тысячи человек, налоговые отчисления золотодобывающих компаний впервые превысили 20% всех налоговых поступлений в бюджет Якутии.
Среди актуальных золотодобывающих проектов Якутии – освоение Нежданинского месторождения, старт проектов Токкинский и Роман, работа золотоизвлекательной фабрики Хвойная.
