Глава города Ессентуки Владимир Крутников, комментируя ситуацию в своем Telegram-канале, заверил, что жизни и здоровью детей ничего не угрожает. Предположительные причины заболевания выясняются. По словам Крутникова, совместно с тренерами анализируются покупки подростков в магазинах, чтобы установить источник инфекции.
Отмечается, что обращений от отдыхающих санатория, которые питаются в той же столовой, что и дети, не поступало. В помещении, где проживали дети, проведена санитарная обработка и генеральная уборка.
