Здание в форме подковы (изначально оно планировалось кольцевой формы) на Каширском шоссе начали строить еще в 1970-е годы. Работы с перерывами продолжались около 30 лет и были окончательно приостановлены в 2000 году на стадии монтажа каркаса. В июле 2023 года объект выкупил новый собственник, но он так и не был достроен.

Демонтировать здание решили из-за того, что конструкции пришли в негодность, заявил глава департамента градостроительной политики Москвы Владислав Овчинский.
