Напомним, 8 октября на турецкой судоверфи «Терсан» был поднят российский флаг на супертраулере «Владимир Бирюков». Вместе с уже построенным «Георгием Мещеряковым» он способен заменить 5 БАТМов типа «Пулковский меридиан».
Оба судна построены в рамках программы обновления флота «Океанрыбфлота» без каких-либо мер господдержки.
