На базе инженерного батальона вооружение будет перегружено на украинские грузовики и перевезено до железнодорожной станции в Халмеу. А оттуда БМП-1 направят на Украину ж/д составом.
Всего к передаче на нужды ВСУ запланировано 40 боевых машин пехоты. Греческая армия взамен на устаревшую технику советского производства получит 40 немецких БМП Marder, первые шесть из которых уже прибыли в Грецию.
