По задумке Тонковидова, использование новых машин исключительно на сжиженном природном газе позволит за одно десятилетие «сократить выбросы СО2 примерно на 53 тыс. тонн. Не уточняется, правда, идет ли речь о танкере типоразмера «Афрамакс» или типоразмера MR. В любом случае, этот вопрос еще будет прорабатываться.
