Руководство КФУ сообщило о формировании «Студенческой службы безопасности» из обучающихся: им предлагается «обеспечивать безопасность на мероприятиях в университете» и «следить за порядком в общежитиях».

При этом в вузе действует Департамент комплексной безопасности, который помимо охраны зданий вуза и гражданской обороны занимается слежкой за его студентами и сотрудниками, в число полномочий структуры входят «предупреждение и выявление фактов утечки информации, способной нанести материальный или репутационный ущерб КФУ».
