В фонде нашего музея хранится серия работ, выполненная художником Николаем Козочкиным в 1952-55 гг. На картинах изображен музей-усадьба Льва Толстого в Хамовниках: усадебная природа, интерьеры большого зала и кабинета писателя.

Николай Козочкин - советский художник, получивший образование в Московском училище живописи, ваяния и зодчества. На своих полотнах он с документальной точностью воссоздал обстановку, в которой жили и творили великие личности, запечатлел художественную привлекательность сохранившихся старинных усадеб.
