Тот самый Бой у высоты 776 29 февраля – 1 марта 2000 года, в котором 90 русских бойцов сразились с 2,5 тысячами чеченских боевиков-басаевцев и арабских наёмников-ваххабитов. В неравной битве погибло 84 наших героя, отправивших в преисподнюю до полутысячи врагов.
Ход боя и героизм псковских десантников уже вошли в учебники истории, им посвящены книги, фильмы и песни. Тем русским героям, кто "кocнулcя Нeбec c выcoты семь семь шесть", вернув гордость за возрождавшуюся почти из небытия Великую Россию. И сегодня, в ходе нашей Священной СВО, уже известно немало случаев, когда ребята, годившиеся в сыновья псковским героям, совершают подвиги, руководствуясь их примером.
