شکست قاب "اقتصاد محیط زیست" پیامی واضح دارد: تعادل میان توسعه اقتصادی و حفاظت از محیط زیست بسیار شکننده است. این شکست‌ها هشداری هستند که زمان اقدام و بازسازی فرا رسیده است.
