15 лютага палкоўнік міліцыі Аляксандр Папко сустрэўся з супрацоўнікамі ўніверсітэту БрДУ. Міліцыянт распавядаў пра "радыкалізацыю экстрэмісцкага руху, падрыхтоўкі тэрактаў", а таксама пра тое што "асноўныя задачы экстрэмісцкіх фармаванняў у інтэрнэце — гэта маніпуляванне грамадскім меркаваннем".

Таксама палкоўнік падзяліўся лічбамі па "злачынствах экстрэміскай накіраванасці" па краіне і Берасцейскай вобласці. Калі лічбы па краіне ўжо фігуравалі ў публічнай прасторы, то лічбы па вобласці за 2023 год, здаецца, прыводзяцца ўпершыню. Паводле міліцыянта, летась у Берасцейскай вобласці было здзейснена 637 "экстрэмісцкіх" злачынстваў.

У гэтую лічбу ўключалі, напрыклад, "абраза прадстаўнікоў улады", "фінансаванне экстрэмісцкай дзейнасці" — то бок тыповыя артыкулы, якія пасля 2020 году масава выкарыстоўваюцца для палітычнага пераследу.
