Уже организовано свободное катание для жителей, проводятся игры хоккеистов-любителей. В дальнейших планах – привлечь профессиональных тренеров и открыть на базе объекта отделение по хоккею спортивной школы города.
Спорткомплекс возвели в рамках государственной программы «Развитие физической культуры и спорта», которая реализуется под руководством губернатора Михаила Котюкова.
