نزَلتم مَنزلَ الأضيافِ مِنّا فعَجَّلنا القِرَى أن تَشتِمُونا
قريناكُم فعجَّلنا قِراكم قُبيل الصبح مرداة طحونًا
وذكرني كذلك قول القطامي:
نَقريهمُ لَهْذمياتٍ نَقُدُّ بها ما كانَ خاطَ عليهم كلَّ زَرَّاد .. والقرى هاهنا ما يعدّونه لأعدائهم من صنوف العُدد يحاربونهم بها ويشمرون لهم، فكأنها بمنزلة الطعام يُعد للضيفان، وهو تشبيه سائر في كلامهم، وينزلونه منزل التهكم، كقوله تعالى: «إنك لأنت الحليم الرشيد».
وهناك شواهد أخرى تجدها في كثير من كتب الأدب، لكن هذا ما جاء على خاطري ساعة قرأتهما. .. وهكذا ترى أن كلام العرب آخذٌ بعضُه برقاب بعضٍ، وتراهم يتفنون في التشبيه الواحد بصورٍ تعلو وتسفل بما عندهم من البلاغة وطرائق البيان.
