Не так давно вышла на русском языке книга «Жизнь, игра и продуктивность» от гуру этого дела Али Абдаала. Книга, собственно, о том, как напрягаться меньше, а успевать больше, и что помогает хорошенько подзарядить наши внутренние батарейки.
Мы с интересом прочитали все 280 страниц этого труда и решили написать пост-реакцию. Нет, не для того, чтобы съязвить на тему «Кр. – сест. тал.» (и, как известно, теща гонорара), а чтобы рассказать вам: что в книге, насколько оно ново, кому интересно и что мы вообще имеем сказать по данному поводу.

At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. Telegram boasts 500 million users, who share information individually and in groups in relative security. But Telegram's use as a one-way broadcast channel — which followers can join but not reply to — means content from inauthentic accounts can easily reach large, captive and eager audiences. Groups are also not fully encrypted, end-to-end. This includes private groups. Private groups cannot be seen by other Telegram users, but Telegram itself can see the groups and all of the communications that you have in them. All of the same risks and warnings about channels can be applied to groups. Just days after Russia invaded Ukraine, Durov wrote that Telegram was "increasingly becoming a source of unverified information," and he worried about the app being used to "incite ethnic hatred." But because group chats and the channel features are not end-to-end encrypted, Galperin said user privacy is potentially under threat.
