Far-right parties get more votes in the Netherlands, Austria, and Germany. But the center-right European People’s Party (EPP) is still the biggest in the European Parliament. Ursula von der Leyen is the leader of this party. She wants another term. She promised to stop extreme ideas in Europe. But she may need to work with the far-right parties. The EPP includes Germany’s Christian Democrats and Spain’s People’s Party. But voters are moving away from Green parties and towards the far-right Identity and Democracy Group. This group includes more extreme parties. Some of these parties do not like the EU.

Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” However, the perpetrators of such frauds are now adopting new methods and technologies to defraud the investors. Again, in contrast to Facebook, Google and Twitter, Telegram's founder Pavel Durov runs his company in relative secrecy from Dubai. Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. "The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into."
